Erim Giresunlu is a director, photographer, cameraman, editor, father and husband based in Cologne, Germany.

He began working on his own film and photo projects with his father’s Hi8-camcorder and Minolta XD7 analogue camera in the 1990s. 

Erim Giresunlu studied film directing and audiovisual media at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. 

His short film Double Room has won the Murnau Shortfilm Award. This and his other short films have been shown at numerous film festivals around the globe. 

Since then he freelances and captures stories in the mountains of Japan, onboard the world’s largest flying telescope, and during a Sojus launch in Baikonur. He has worked as director, cameraman and in the post-production department for hundreds of corporate communications films.
